Right choice McCain

For the first time in this election, McCain has outmanuevered Obama. Choosing Sarah Palin as his running mate was the correct choice. She has a history as a reformer someone that holds their promises. Her pick is going to make this election even harder for Hillary supporters. I have a strong feeling that Obama didn’t pick Hillary for personal reasons rather than political ones. This is a clear signal that McCain will pose a serious challenge to Obama.

Check out Sarah Palins wikipedia page here.

Thank you Barack

Seriously, thank you for making the daring choice of Joe Biden for your Vice President. So rarely do older white males get the chance to run for the executive office. Nevermind that the Democrats showed great diversity in the primaries by having an African American, a female, and a hispanic candidate. You had to reach into the back of the pack and choose a 65 year old that has been in the Senate since he was 29. Biden would make the perfect Defense Secretary but Vice President? I admit that I never really believed in you and I am a hardcore Hillary supporter. However you just gave up the one choice you could’ve made by choosing Hillary that would have put me and many out there, in your corner…

Justice Scalia is the epitome of the win at all costs Republican mantra

First off, here is the link for the recent Supreme Court ruling. I would also like to state from the beginning that I support the decision reached. What I do take offense with is Justice Scalia’s judicial philosophy. Supreme Court News

Every single interview Scalia has done he has clearly stated his judicial philosophy and that is to strictly interpret the founding fathers original intent when writing the Constitution. He has repeatedly degraded the liberal justices that believe the Constitution should be adapted to the current times. Okay well that is all fine and dandy. He is allowed to have his reasoning and train of thought. What I do find disturbing is how his philosophy is only used when it aids conservative policies. Now it is only common sense what the original framers had in mind when writing the 2nd amendment.

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

Now during the time of the writing of the Constitution, we were at war with Great Britain but also at war with those in this country that did not want to secede from Great Britain. It was not a peaceful time to say the least. Using Justice Scalia’s train of thought, you can only conclude that the Framers original intent was to allow militias to carry arms so as to defend those that wanted to form a new independent country. A strict interpretation would not view an individual’s right to carry weapons. This is solid proof that Scalia only cares about implementing conservative policies on the citizens of this country. If he was an elected official in an office capacity such as a Senator for example, that would be perfectly within his right. He is not however, an elected official. He is a Supreme Court Justice that was nominated by a President. Scalia is part of the very problem that plagues our government and that is officials in this country who will do anything they can to force their will or the will of their “party” on everyone else. That goes for conservatives and liberals alike. If Justice Ginsburg tried to pull the same “win at all costs” philosophy, I would label her the same.

Scalia, you are a threat to the very document you swore to protect, the Constitution of the United States of America.

Rudy is becoming a joke

I’m just going to keep updating this post with recent Rudy Giuliani Quotes from now on. This man that I once admired (while he was still mayor) has become a joke. He has tried so hard to display this macho man image that he ended up going from Terrorist hunter to resembling a fake “The Daily Show” candidate.

-He flatlined in Iowa and he’s struggling in New Hampshire, but Rudy Giuliani shook off the early-state blues Thursday as only he can. ‘None of this worries me - Sept. 11, there were times I was worried,’ Giuliani said.”

New Jersey bans death penalty

Score 1 for citizens with true morals and -1 for religious bigots who preach about their love for Jesus but have no problem injecting lethal drugs into another human, no matter how hideous the crime.

Why I support Hillary

Sorry about not updating the site in over year. I am writing this post because I feel compelled to lay out my reasons for supporting Hillary for President. Enjoy

1- She will not involve the United States in wars with a shoot first ask questions later style like Rudy Giuliani impersonates

2- She will strike a balance between helping lower income families and understanding the importance Business has on the economy unlike John Edwards

3- She has the experience to make last second decisions that affect the world unlike Barack Obama

4- She can be trusted to not push her religious values on everyone else unlike Mike Huckabee

5- She may pander (they all do) but not to the extreme extent of Mitt Romney

6- She actually sounds like she wants to be President unlike Fred Thompson

To end the post, I have a request for Mrs. Clinton. Should you win the Democratic nomination (and I believe you will) please select a Republican as your running mate. None of the above mentioned candidates of course, but a true Republican that is conservative and can help achieve compromises unlike the gridlock and “my way only” legislation of the past 7 years.
